01.  Who is this tour intended for?

Anyone who wants to get to know the Krabi in a different way! The tour is all about having fun, meeting new people and discovering the real Thailand through fantastic food that you are not likely to find alone. 

02.  What does the tour include?

Each tour includes all tastings, a professional tour guide, and a memorable journey through the culinary landscape of the Krabi!

03.  What is the maximum number of guests on a tour?

We always keep the groups at maximum 8 guests. We do this to make the experience as personal and fun as possible! 

04. What is the minumum number of guests required for a tour?

We require a minumum of 2 guests to conduct a tour.

05.  What kind of food will we eat?

06.  How much food will we eat?

We will be eating and drinking plenty. No one has ever left our tours hungry! We design all our tours in thoughtfully-crafted portions. By the end of the tour experience, most guests are fully-satisfied, as if they had a meal! Come hungry!

07.  What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?

​We do our best to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions, however we can’t guarantee all stops will be able to do so, If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know when booking and we will try to accommodate you - your guide will be able to identify items you might want to avoid. ​We can easily arrange alternative options for gluten & lactose intolerants. If you have life-threatening allergies it is not recommended you take our tours.

08.  How much walking is involved?

The total walking distance of our food tour is approximately 1 km, but it can vary a little between tours. The tour is easy, as we are never walking further than to our next restaurant where we will sit down and enjoy some delicious local cuisine. Furthermore, the walking is usually slow paced since we explore the city as we go! 

09.  Is transportation included?

Transportation (if not walking) between food tour locations is included. However, transportation to the starting point is not included but can be arranged if needed.

10.  Where doest the tour start?

Our tours start and endi n Krabi town. We will give you a meeting point and directions in your confirmation email.

11. What if I'm late?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the tour as the tour begins promptly on time. If you are late you can call us and we will try our best to assist you to catch up with the tour.

12.  What is your cancellation policy? 

We offer a 100% refund for cancellations made more than 48 hours before the tour. Within 24 hours, no refund will be given.

13.  What should we bring?

​Bring your appetite for food & adventure and we will take care of the rest! 

14.  What about weather? What if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine. Please note that May-November is rainy season and daily showers are common. Showers often last less than 20 minutes on average. We offer rain ponchos in case of rain so you can comfortably enjoy the tour. Only for Government issued monsoon warnings or if we deem conditions unsafe for our guests, will tours be cancelled and you will receive a full refund. In the rare circumstance that a tour is cancelled due to bad weather, we will notify customers directly. 

15.  What should I wear?

There is no dress code but but in order to respect the food vendors we don't advise wearing bikini or other inappropriate attire. We recommend to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Thailand is hot! A hat or umbrella to protect from sun or rain is always a good idea!

16.  Can kids join the tour?

Our tours are at least 3 hours long and some children have a limited attention span. The tour may not be appropriate for some children. Parents know their child best and should assess the situation individually. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child. We don't have a separate menu for children, but a lot of the food is child friendly. Children under 3 years old are free, no food wll be provided for them but parents are welcome to share their portion.

17.  What is the best tour for children?

The Morning Tour is designed to be a fun event for the whole family! Tickets are required for children over 3 years old, regardless of whether they will be participating in tastings.

18.  What if I'm bringing a very young child/infant?

Children 3 years old and under who will not be eating do not require a ticket. However, please email us in advance to let us know that you’ll have a little one with you!

19.  Is the tour stroller & wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately our tours are not wheelchair accessible. For the most part, our tours can accommodate baby strollers.  If you have a mobility issue or plan on using a stroller, please email us before booking so that we are able to make special arrangements for you. Please note that infrastructure in Thailand may not be what you are used to.

20.  Are bathrooms available during this tour?

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at almost every food-tasting location.  We encourage guests to use the bathroom before the tour starts.

21.  Do you offer private tours?

Yes! We can arrange a private food tour for small or larger groups of friends and families. Contact us at info@tastekrabi.com to discuss.

22.  What language will the tour be in?

English.

23.  Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, all tours require reservations to ensure a personalized and intimate experience. Book your tour in advance online.

25.  What if I can't eat spicy food?

Most tastings are mild or non-spicy with options for spicier also available,

26.  How do you choose the tour stops?

We carefully handpick every one of our tastings and tasting locations. We want to share the food we love and places we genuinely go to visit with our own friends and family. Food health & safety standards are important to us so we only work with partners we trust. Together we strive to make the most memorable experiences for our guests.

27.  Are drinks provided?

Some beverages are included in our tasting menu. Water is available at every stop.  You will have the option to purchase other beverages if you wish.
